date drivers for Windows 95/98. These drivers are not for use with other modems or operating
systems.
Release Notes
-----------------
These drivers are the most recent released for the SupraMax PCI modems (non-Monopak), and
include a self-installer for easy installation. The drivers are included, if a traditional Windows
installation is necessary.
Installation Instructions
-----------------
You should print this document for easy reference. We include two installation prodecures:
1) for new installations of the modem, and 2) for updates of the modem over previous, older
driver installations.
Installation Process 1:
-----------------
For those who have installed no drivers:
1. Label a blank formatted floppy disk, "SupraMax 56 PCI Driver files."
2. Insert the disk into the floppy drive.
3. Download the file onto a floppy disk. In your browser, click on the file name, supramax56-2260-2350-2370_win9x_015.exe. Your browser should prompt as to where you would like save the file.
You should select the floppy drive, "A:\" (without the quotes).
4. When the download is complete, you should disconnect from the internet and close all open
programs.
5. Extract the files from the downloaded file. Click Start\Run\Browse. Locate the supramax56-2260-2350-2370_win9x_015.exe file on the floppy drive, "a:." Click OK and then OK again.
6. A Self-Extractor window should appear. "C:\WINDOWS\TEMP" should appear in the Unzip To
Folder window. This is the default location. You should accept this location, as the complete set of
drivers will not fit on a single floppy disk. Click on the Unzip button.
7. After the files have been extracted click OK to the "success" window and then Close to exit the
extractor program.
At this point the files have been extracted and are ready for use to install.
8. Power down the system and install the modem into an available PCI slot. Boot up the system as
normal.
9. Windows 9x will detect a PCI Serial Controller, PCI Card or PCI Communication Device.
Select “CANCEL” when prompted to install a driver, and allow Windows to finish loading as
normal.
10. Browse to the location where you extracted the file (again, usually c:\windows\temp). Double-
click on install.exe. Click on “OK” to install the modem.
11. When the program has finished it will restart Windows automatically. Your modem is now
installed.

It is highly recommended that you specifically identify your modem in
order to determine the appropriate drivers as each is specific to its
model. You can use the following chart to determine which modem you have
based on its part number:
Model Part Number

SUP2260: 23540020-003

SUP2350: 23643012-002

In most cases, you can ignore the last three digits of the part number
as they represent minor board
revisions.

These drivers are provided for those who might have lost their original

If your modem is working correctly with your system, there is no reason to
install new driver files.
