This file contains the most recent Windows 2000 drivers for this modem, version 2.13.12a. These drivers are not for use with other modems or operating systems. Because of WHQL certification of
these drivers, you will need WinZip or some other program to extract the files. This file is not
a self-extracting executable.

Installation Instructions

You should print this document for easy reference.

Installation Process(Windows 2000):
-----------------

1. Label a blank formatted floppy disk, "SupraSST 56i Pro PCI Driver files."

2. Insert the disk into the floppy drive.

3. Download the file onto a floppy disk. In your browser, click on the file name, suprasst-2850_win2k_21312a.zip. Your browser should prompt as to where you would like save the file. You should select the floppy drive, "A:\" (without the quotes).

4. When the download is complete, you should disconnect from the internet and close all open
programs. From this point, we will assume you have WinZip or some other zip program installed on
your computer.

5. Extract the files from the downloaded file. See the documentation that came with the zip program
for further assistance.

6. Exit the extractor program.

7. Power down the system and install the modem into an available PCI slot. Boot up the system as 9normal.

8. Windows will detect modem as new hardware, and the Driver Installation Wizard will open.

9. Choose to "display a list of known drivers" as opposed to "search for a suitable driver."

10. Point the wizard to the location on your hard drive where you extracted the drivers. You may need to click "Have Disk" and and type in the path to the drivers.

11. Windows will install a "SupraSST 56i Pro PCI" driver.

12. Specify the country of use if prompted. If not, go to Start > Settings > Control Panel. Click on Diamond Country Select, and select your country. Click OK.

13. You should now verify your installation.

Driver/Installation Verification:

To verify that the updated drivers have been installed, you should do the following:

1) Go to Start > Settings > Control Panels. Double-click on System, click on the Hardware tab, and click on Device Manager.
2) Click on the + in front of Modems, right-click on the modem and go to Properties.
3) On the Diagnostics tab, click the Query Modem button. After a few seconds, The ATI commands should contain information, including an ATI3 response of 2.13.12, the driver revision for this modem.

You should print this document for easy reference. We include two installation prodecures:
1) for new installations of the modem, and 2) for updates of the modem over previous, older
driver installations.

Installation Process 1:
-----------------
For those who have installed no drivers:

1. Label a blank formatted floppy disk, "SupraSST WinME driver files."

2. Insert the disk into the floppy drive.

3. Download the file onto a floppy disk. In your browser, click on the file name, suprasst-2850_winme_21407b.exe. Your browser should prompt as to where you would like save the file.
You should select the floppy drive, "A:\" (without the quotes).

4. When the download is complete, you should disconnect from the internet and close all open
programs.

5. Extract the files from the downloaded file. Click Start\Run\Browse. Locate the suprasst-2850_winme_21407b.exe file on the floppy drive, "a:." Click OK and then OK again.

6. A Self-Extractor window should appear. "C:\SUPRA" (or some other location) should appear in the Unzip To Folder window. This is the default location. You should accept this location, as the complete set of drivers will not fit on a single floppy disk. Click on the Unzip button.

7. After the files have been extracted click OK to the "success" window and then Close to exit the
extractor program.

At this point the files have been extracted and are ready for use to install.

8. Power down the system and install the modem into an available PCI slot. Boot up the system as
normal.

9. Windows 9x will detect a PCI Serial Controller, PCI Card or PCI Communication Device. When prompted for drivers, point the installation procedure to c:\supra (or the location where you extracted the drivers), and they will be installed.

10. Reboot your computer. The drivers are now installed, and the modem should function normally.

Installation Process 2:
----------------

For those who have an older driver version already installed, and the modem functioning normally:
1. Label a blank formatted floppy disk, "SupraSST WinME Driver files."

2. Insert the disk into the floppy drive.

3. Download the file onto a floppy disk. In your browser, click on the file name, suprasst-2850_winme_21407b.exe. Your browser should prompt as to where you would like save the file.
You should select the floppy drive, "A:\" (without the quotes).

These drivers are provided for those who might have lost their original
disks or received a modem before certain Microsoft functionality was available.
If your modem is working correctly with your system, there is no reason to
install new driver files.

Installation Instructions

You should print this document for easy reference.

1. Download the file onto your hard disk or floppy disk. In your browser,
click on the suprasst-nt_2850_20802-driver.exe file. Your browser should
prompt as to where you would like save the file. You should note the location
(i.e. c:\windows\temp, a:\, etc).

2. When the download is complete, you should disconnect from the internet and
close all open programs.

3. You should then need to extract the files from the downloaded file. Click
Start\Run\Browse. Locate the suprasst-nt_2850_20802-driver.exe file. It should
be in the noted location from step 1 above. Click OK and then OK again. Click
OK to the initial extractor window.

4. A Self-Extractor window should appear. "C:\TEMP" should appear in the Unzip
To Folder window. This is the default location. If you want to change this, enter
the appropriate location. For most purposes it should not be necessary to change
this. Uncheck the box to Run Setup. Click on the Unzip button.

5. After the files have been extracted click OK to the "success" window and then
Close to exit the extractor program. At this point the files have been extracted
and you should be able to install the modem.

WARNING: Do NOT attempt to manually add this modem. This is a software modem and
requires that you run the appropriate setup file in order to install. Attempting
to manually add the modem may result in the need to reinstall the operating system.

NOTE: You must ensure that you are logged in as Adminstrator only. It is not
sufficient to be logged in with adminstrative priveledges.

6. Click Start\Run\Browse. Locate the setup.exe file that was extracted (from
step 4, the default is c:\temp). Click OK and then OK again. This should open
the Installation Wizard.

7. Click Next to advance from the Welcome window of the Installation Wizard.

8. Confirm that the checked selection is for your modem (you should only have
one choice). Click Next.

9. If the Wizard asks for the location of a file, enter the folder into which
the extracted files are located (from step 4, the default is c:\temp). You can
also Browse to the file location. Click OK.

Installation Instructions

You should print this document for easy reference. This installation prodecure is for updating the drivers for the modem, as the modem will be installed automatically by the operating system as a "Generic Soft 56k" modem.

Installation Process for Windows XP:
-----------------
1. Download the file to your computer. In your browser, click on the file name,
suprasst-2770-11-v92_winxp_30512.exe. Your browser should prompt as to where you would like save the file. Note the location that the file was saved to.

2. When the download is complete, you should disconnect from the internet and close all open
programs.

3. Extract the files from the downloaded file. Click Start\Run\Browse. Locate the suprasst-2770-11-v92_winxp_30512.exe file on the floppy or hard drive. Click OK and then OK again, or double-click the file icon.

4. A Self-Extractor window should appear. "C:\SUPRA" should appear in the Unzip To Folder window. This is the default location.

5. After the files have been extracted, review this readme in notepad and print if necessary. Close this window to exit the extractor program.

6. Go to the Phone and Modem Options Control Panel. Depending upon how you have Windows XP set up, this may be different. Normally, you will go to Start > Control Panels > Printers & Other Hardware > Phone & Modem Options. Highlight the Generic Soft 56K modem and click on Properties.

9. On the Driver tab, click Update Driver. Choose to "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install." Click Next.

10. Point the installation wizard to the location that the drivers were extracted to (this will be C:\SUPRA, if you did not change the default location). You may receive a message about the drivers not being digitally signed. Continue through this message.

11. Drivers for the SupraSST 56i modem will install. Click Finish to finish the installation. Now, verify the installation.

To verify that the updated drivers have been installed, you should do the following:

1. Go to the Phone and Modem Options Control Panel. Depending upon how you have Windows XP set up, this may be different. Normally, you will go to Start > Control Panels > Printers & Other Hardware > Phone & Modem Options.

2. Go to the Modems tab.

3. Highlight your modem and click on Properties. On the Diagnostics tab, click on Query Modem. Next to one of the lines starting with ATi3, look for:
