This document shows you how to setup the driver and how to use the enhanced
functions by setting the custom keywords.

NOTE: Before starting with the installation process, make sure that the adapter
is properly installed and configured.
(B) Installing the driver for Microsoft Windows 98SE/ME
===========================================================
1. Turn the power of your PC on to boot from Windows 98. The system
auto-detects your new adapter installed, and the "New Hardware Found"
dialogue box will appear. Select "Driver from disk provided by hardware
manufacturer" to install driver from the diskette that come with your
lan adapter.
2. Insert the driver diskette into your floppy drive, and specify the
path of the driver in the diskette(i.e. A:\windows\winme) to copy the driver
files to your system.
3. Select "Realtek RTL8169/8110 Family Gigabit Ethernet NIC", and start to copy the
files to your system.
4. When the driver installation is completed, restart Windows 98/98SE/ME.
(C) Installing the driver for Microsoft Windows NT 4.0

1. Open "Control Panel" -> "Networks", and choose the "Add Adapter" button.
The Add Noetwork Adapter dialog box appears. Select "
disk from manufacturer" in the list of Network Adapters, and then press

path of the driver in the diskette(i.e. A:\windows\WinNT4) if necessary.
3. Select "Realtek RTL8169/8110 Family Gigabit Ethernet NIC", and start to copy the
files to your system.
4. After all the driver files have been copied to your system, a property
dialog box appears in the screen. You can enable the special properties
if you want to.
5. When the driver installation is completed, restart your PC.

1. Add jumbo frame support
When jumbo frame enabled, driver will automatically disable 'Large Send Offload (IPv4)'.
'Jumbo Packet' > 1514 means to enable jumbo frame.
'Jumbo Packet' = 1514 means to disable jumbo frame.
For 8169 PCI series , maximum jumbo packet size is 7*1024
For 8168 PCIe series , maximum jumbo packet size is 5*1024

After 'Network Address' changed and then cleared, the MAC address does not reset to the original one.
('Network Address' is in the Device Manager | Properties | Advanced | Property)

4. change TX/RX parameters to improve copy throughput
5. add 'Auto Disable Gigabit' feature.
